The plane of the Bulgarian government Tu-154 landed late Saturday night in Sofia with 38 of the 40 Bulgarian survivors from the Ohrid Lake accident.

15 other Bulgarian tourists died earlier on Saturday as the tourist boat Ilinden went underwater in the Ohrid Lake in Macedonia.

The survivors were brought home to Bulgaria with the plane of the Bulgarian government that was specially sent to Macedonia to collect them by Prime Minister Borisov and President Parvanov.

Only the guide of the Bulgarian group, and the driver of their bus have remained in Ohrid. The 38 survivors will be transported from Sofia to their home towns of Pirdop, Zlatitsa, Chelopech, Anton, and Mirkovo (located to the east of Sofia) by special buses of the Transport Ministry.

Bulgaria's Prime Minister, Boyko Borisov, met the survivors at the Sofia Airport. The Health Ministry has provided doctors and psychologists to look after the survivors' condition in the coming weeks when they are likely to experience post-stress disorders.

At the same time, Bulgaria's President Georgi Parvanov has arrived at the spot of the tragedy in Ohrid, Macedonia.

"Plovdiv Metropolitan, Nikolay, hinted that God had punished Bulgarians over their many sins including celebrating and partying too much on August 29 (the day of the concert of pop diva Madonna in Sofia) instead of mourning for St. John the Baptist."

What complete and utter nonsense, blaming a tragedy caused by human error on peoples failure to please a God of Wrath and Retribution.

If ever there was a reason to reject established churches, this is it!

Religion disgusts me...

Religion disgusts me...

MORRIGAN,

And that is why religion is disgusted with you...

The Metropolitans comments were his own, they were not endorsed by the church.

Only a BIGOT, will reject an entire group of people based on the comment of one member.

Come to think of it, the world is disgusted with you.

Go crawl into a corner somewhere and expire, please do the world a favor.

Why are they publishing the names of the survivors? They should publish the names of the dead. Who cares who the survivors are? A bunch of peasants by the looks of it.

" Go crawl into a corner somewhere and expire, please do the world a favor."

Stop trying to slut shame me. That's what I get for eye-foreplaying instead of eye-fcuking? There is nothing wrong about being a slut. I quote the great philosopher Missy Elliott when I say "ain't no shame ladies do yo' thang, just make sure you ahead of the game." If I expire, who are all the old drunks in NY going to bone?

Nellie,

I do believe that recommendation was directed at "Morrigan", wash your cum encrusted eyes off, open them and read again. But if the suggestion fits, try it on.

I don't need to shame you, as a poduenska baba you are already a shame.

You might also consider this (assuming your addled brain is capable of that function):

Bulerican and I are of different persuasions about how to worship God, but that has not affected an amicable relationship. Neither of us is attacking the other. Even his wife, a true Bulgarian, has entered the fray. We can't all be wrong.

However, you claim to be Orthodox, the true, original, and unchanged faith.

If there's any truth in that statement at all, while you're merely disgusting to me, you must be an embarrassment for all of the TRUE Orthodox who read this crap from you. I doubt seriously that your conduct is in accordance with Orthodoxy, and I don't hold your obscenity as representative of that faith.

It seems indicative of something to me that both he and I are opposing you. There must be a reason for that.

I admit that what I've had to do isn't representative of my faith, either, but I've been forced to use language that has never before been necessary.

Bul & Mrs. Bul

This flame war started with a disagreement about swimming statistics, so let us get back on topic.

Bul was giving statistics about how many people never learn to swim, Mrs. Bul was talking about how swimming was not required in Bulgarian schools during communist times. And I say WHATEVER...I am not interested enough in this information to fight about it.

I know that my school in Sofia had us taking swimming lessons as there was an indoor pool near by. There was also the outdoor pool in summer where all the kids used to frequent. Clearly Mrs. Bul grew up in some village where there was no pools and no swimming instruction.

" I doubt seriously that your conduct is in accordance with Orthodoxy, and I don't hold your obscenity as representative of that faith."

I never said I was a practicing Orthodox. I was not even raised Orthodox, as the communists did not encourage religious education, to put it mildly. I am a complete heathen. I go to church a few times a year to see my friends there.

I don't know how Mrs. Bull got so holier than thou, she must have caught the religion fever that swept the country after 1989. She thinks she won the husband lottery and got God by the short hairs when she got an old American to marry her.

Maybe I would be more like Mrs. Bul if I got you to marry me, but seeing as you jilted me, I am living on alcohol and hook-ups now to assuage my grief.

Nellie.

If that's the case as you say, then you're not qualified to preach for or against any faith.

As I said earlier, you're just trying to justify a totally amoral life style, and not succeeding.

If you really want to drown your grief, try water. It's more effective than alcohol.

You can be a good person and live a highly moral and productive life without religion and without belief in God. You can choose to be a good person and do the right thing without being promised heavenly rewards or punishment down below. Believing stuff and nonsense about God does not make you a better person.

Perhaps not, but living on booze and sex doesn't make one a role model either. It's been known to make good people worse, though.

(That's only because what I told you is factual.)

I know that my school in Sofia had us taking swimming lessons as there was an indoor pool near by. There was also the outdoor pool in summer where all the kids used to frequent.
(Then that was your school, their program, not a mandated government swimming program that did NOT exist.)

Clearly Mrs. Bul grew up in some village where there was no pools and no swimming instruction.
(Plenty of pools, plenty of lakes and rivers, plenty of swimming clubs and teams as well as instruction. It just so happens that I am/was damned good at ballet, and accordingly that was my contribution to the commie machine. I was one of ten finalists for a spot in the Bolschoi, but I chose not to participate further in the selection process. I attended university in Sofia and Leipzig acquiring MBA's in Economics, Business Managment, and Theology, as well as a BS in Art History, all as a scholarship student. So please my dear Poduenska Baba speak not to me of villages, rather speak of yourself.)

I don't know how Mrs. Bull got so holier than thou, she must have caught the religion fever that swept the country after 1989. (Perhaps her degree in theology has something to do with it. When you claim to be Orthodox and then profess a doctrine that has nothing to do with Orthodoxy, I can easily understand her disgust.)

She thinks she won the husband lottery and got God by the short hairs when she got an old American to marry her. (Old ??? You should be calling me son BABA !!! This "old" man still carries the same weight as when I was 17 (90 kilo), and can still run 7 minute miles (which for my size and weight is good), I truly appreciate all the physical training the Army made us do over the 20 years that I served.

Maybe I would be more like Mrs. Bul if I got you to marry me, but seeing as you jilted me, I am living on alcohol and hook-ups now to assuage my grief.
(Maybe you should approach lighthouse for the blind, you might have a better chance of getting married.)
