The Chairman of the State Agency for National Security (DANS) Dimitar Georgiev was relieved of his post following a decision of the Council of Ministers.
The Regional Court of Bulgaria's central town of Sevlievo sentenced Friday the man who made a bomb threat to the Security Agency.
The Court imposed a BGN 1,000 fine.
On August 8, the 25-year-old man from Sevlievo rang 112 at 3:23 am to report a bomb that was be detonated in 48 hours in the building of the State Security Agency (DANS). Local police traced the call and he was arrested the same morning.
The defendant has clean criminal record. The penalty is lower that the average provided by the law. The sentence will become effective in the next 15 days.
