Three women have died in a collision between a train and a car in the Romanian Timis region.

The accident happened Monday morning, the Romanian newspaper Adevarul reported.

The car was driven by a Italian citizen. The victims are a 38-year-old woman, and another two women at 41 years of age.

The three of them were passengers in the car. The 52-year-old driver of the car was immediately taken to a hospital in Timishoara without a threat to his life.

As a result of the collision, one of the coaches of the train broke into fire, due to a oil leak in the hydraulic system. The fire was extinguished shortly after it broke.
