Bulgaria's State Reveniew Agency will create mobile teams for fight with value added tax (VAT) Frauds.
This has been announced Sunday by the spokesperson of the Revenue Agency, Rosen Bachvarov.
Another type of mobile teams for closer control and analysis of the information system of the Bulgarian Customs will be created, too.
Only 37% of the planed VAT revenue for 2009 have been collected until the end of July, Bachvarov said.
"That is why NAP will create mobile teams to fight VAT frauds. They will analyze the companies, which want to be VAT registered, or already have such registration. The teams will decide whether given companies are only created for VAT draining", he said.
The project will first be tested in the capital Sofia, and if it is proved efficient it will be realized in the whole country, Bachvarov added.
In the beginning of the week, mobile teams were created to control the import of fruits and vegetable. It turned out that there was a huge amount of contraband which virtually kills the Bulgarian farmers.
