The Bulgarian Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs is the third ministry to be investigated, in this case over a scandalous high price of a building repair works.

The repair works of the ministry's building in the East Bulgarian city of Stara Zagora costed over BGN 10 M, or BGN 2 473 per square meter, paying BGN 35 868 only for name plates, Darik Radio reported.

The Sofia City Prosecutor's Office has already initiated legal procedures on the the case, Deputy City Prosecutor, Bozhidar Dzhambazov, said.

There are entire teams dealing with such public procurement procedures, and it will be difficult to find those who are actually responsible for the violations, he explained.

There are still no charges against the former Minister of Labor and Social Works, Emiliya Maslarova, Dzhambazov said.
