Bulgaria's incoming Education Minister, Iordanka Fandakova, defined the calm start of the school year as the current priority of her Ministry.

Fandakova spoke Thursday, after the leader of the elections' winner, Citizen for European Development of Bulgaria, (GERB) party and future PM, Boyko Borisov, handed back the mandate to President Parvanov.

The incoming Education Minister pointed out the successful school year would be secured by a well defined financial frame, the up to 90% release of frozen funds expected by local school systems, adding the much discussed teachers' salaries were part of each individual school's policy since they are now included in the schools' own budgets.

Fandakova stressed the importance of having professionals and experts in her team regardless of their political orientation and voiced hope the ones, currently working at the Education Ministry, would join her team.
