A total of BGN 12 150 was given out in prizes by the Union for Private Economic Enterprise (UPEE) for reports of vote-buying during the Bulgaria general elections.

Teodor Dechev, Deputy Chairman of the UPEE reported that roughly 50 reports of vote-buying had been bought to their attention. He added that the only party that was not amongst these reports was "The Greens", Darik Radio reported.

The UPEE, a Bulgarian business organization, announced an award of up to BGN 10 000 before the elections for any information and evidence of vote buying in Bulgaria. Up until this moment 1 prize of BGN 4 000, 2 prizes of BGN 2 000, 1 of BGN 1 500 and 5 prizes of BGN 1 000 have been awarded by the UPEE.

Dechev said previously in an exclusive interview for novinite.com that; "We received more than 200 signals only for the European Parliament elections. Yet people are very scared and in most of the cases they speak only on condition of anonymity."
