Cameroonian International footballer Joseph-Desire Job has refused the deal offered to him by Bulgarian Champions FC Levski Sofia.

Job had previously been reported to be an almost certainty to join Levski following a medical test, but after 2 days of talks he refused the Bulgarian club's proposal over the "personal conditions" offered.

According to alleged reports Job preferred a proposal from a team in England's Championship where he was offered an annual salary of EUR 450 000. Job was reportedly ready to receive less money at Levski but to receive a serious bonus if they entered the group stages of the Champions League.

Job became famous when he signed for Middlesbrough's then manager Bryan Robson in 2000 for GBP 3 M. He played 94 times for the club and scored 19 goals.

Job moved to Ligue 1 French club Nice in summer 2007, after spending a couple of years at different clubs on loan. He won the English League Cup with Middlesbrough in 2004 and the Asian Champions League with Al-Ittihad in 2005.
