Cameroonian International footballer Joseph-Desire Job has chosen to join FC Levski Sofia in a surprise move.
Job had already received offers from French and English clubs but eventually plumped for Levski, who he will sign for once he has passed a medical test.
Job explained his decision by saying, "I have a friend in Levski - Cedric Bardon, and this is one of the reasons for my appearing here. I had a talk with him about the club's ambitions and the shape of the team. No doubt, the Champions League is a world class tournament."
Job's agent said, "My client is training for the world cup finals and he says playing for Levski is a good challenge. I believe his coming to Levski is good both for him and for the Blue club."
Job became famous when he signed for Middlesbrough's then manager Bryan Robson in 2000 for GBP 3 M. He played 94 times for the club and scored 19 goals.
Job moved to Ligue 1 French club Nice in summer 2007, after spending a couple of years at different clubs on loan. He won the English League Cup with Middlesbrough in 2004 and the Asian Champions League with Al-Ittihad in 2005.
