A powerful home-made bomb exploded outside a tax office in the Greek capital Athens, causing considerable damage but no one was injured.
The blast occurred at 4.35 am local time on Friday in the central Ambelokipi district, and followed an anonymous warning call to two Athens newspapers, police officials said.
A warning was given in an anonymous telephone call to the Eleftherotypia and Ta Nea newspapers 30 minutes before the blast. The caller did not claim responsibility on behalf of a group or organization.
