Formula 1 boss, Bernie Ecclestone, will meet with a delegation from Bulgaria next weekend regarding the possibility of adding the country to the formula 1 calendar.

In March it was announced that the Bulgarian Motorcycle Federation was in talks with Ecclestone and that it was ready to assign funds to build a Formula One circuit.

Representatives of the Bulgarian race organising committee have now been formally invited to the German Grand Prix at the Nurburgring on July 12 to meet with Ecclestone.

It is claimed the race contract may be signed soon and may initially be for 2011 through 2015 and with an option to extend it further.

Ecclestone will reportedly also meet with Baden-Wurttemberg premier Gunther Oettinger at the Nurburgring, in a bid to rescue embattled Hockenheim's Formula One round.
