Michael Jackson's doctor, Conrad Murray, has said that he was not a suspect for the police over the King of Pop's death.

Murray, a cardiologist, who is reported to have been the only person with Michael Jackson when the singer had a cardiac arrest, has already been interrogated twice by the LAPD.

Through his spokeswoman, Miranda Sevcik, Murray said he "clarified some inconsistencies" regarding Jackson's death in his second conversation with the police, BGNES news agency reported.

"Investigators say the doctor is in no way a suspect and remains a witness to this tragedy. He rode in the ambulance to the hospital and stayed at the hospital for hours comforting and consoling the Jackson family...
Dr Murray will continue to cooperate fully with the authorities and asks that all keep the Jackson family in their prayers," Sevcik is quoted as saying.

According to various reports Murray gave Jackson an injection of the powerful prescription drug Demerol shortly before the singer's death. Jackson hired Murray last month as a doctor as he prepared for a 50-date concert series in London that had been set to start in July.
