A Greek man who recently arrived in Athens from London has tested positive for swine flu, authorities said Wednesday.
The 24-year-old Greek student is the country's sixth swine flu case, and the third to have arrived from Britain. Like most of the people who have caught the virus, the student appears to have a mild case of the disease.
Last month, two students fell ill with the virus after arriving in Greece from Scotland.
With 675 reported swine flu cases in Britain, some experts suspect the virus is already entrenched in communities, but that UK health authorities are deliberately not testing for the virus and not reporting cases.
Britain's Health Protection Agency, which is coordinating the United Kingdom's response to swine flu, denies the virus is spreading widely.
