The Deputy Chair and Spokesperson for Bulgaria's Central Electoral Commission, Biser Troyanov, stated Monday that with 5,73% of the vote LIDER might not be able to send their representative to the EP.
The latest results of the country's EP elections are based on a count of 100% of the votes.
CEC also informs that with the latest count it could be possible the National Movement for Stability and Progress (NMSP) of former Tsar and former PM, Simeon Saxe-Coburg, could end up with the surprising result of being able to send two MEPs to the EP.
After the 100% count, Troyanov announced that GERB has won 24,48% of the votes with 627 693 votes, the Coalition for Bulgaria totaled 476 618 votes or 18,59%, the Turkish Movement for Rights and Freedoms (DPS) got 364 254 votes or 14,21%, the nationalist Ataka - 307 985 or 12,01%, the National Movement for Stability and Progress (NMSP) of former Tsar and former PM, Simeon Saxe-Coburg, secured 205 145 votes or 8%, the Blue Coalition - 204 784 or 7,99% and LIDER is with 146 984 votes or 5,73%.
The other surprising result are the 120 280 votes/4,69% for the "Order, Law, and Justice (RZS) party - considered to be a low one.
The Coalition "Forward" received 57 922 votes or 2,26% of the vote.
The other registered parties and the only independent candidate collected less than 1% of the vote.
CEC says that the second count was most likely to conclude Tuesday when Bulgaria will officially announce the names of the country's 17 new MEPs.
