The Vasil Levski Stadium in Sofia will reportedly be sold out for the Bulgaria - Ireland World Cup qualifier on Saturday at 20:30.

Over 38 000 Bulgarian fans will pack the ground in what is being built as the biggest game for the national team in years. The match is crucial for both teams as they search for an all important victory to help them reach the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.

Bulgaria's fans will be given 38 000 cardboard banners in the colours of the Bulgarian national flag to make the spectacle before the match more exciting.

Officials from the Bulgarian Football Union (BFU) have called in reinforcements from a security company to help the police control the crowds. The Bulgarian Interior Ministry also promised additional forces to prevent possible misconduct by football hooligans.
