The so called Danube Bridge 2 connecting Bulgaria and Romania at Vidin-Calafat will be completed on time.
This was announced Wednesday by the Bulgarian Prime Minister Sergey Stanishev during a visit to the bridge construction site in the northwest Bulgarian city of Vidin.
Danube Bridge 2 is supposed to be completed by the end of 2010, and according to Stanishev, no delays are to be expected, including no freezing of the EU funding allocated for its construction.
Stanishev did say, however, that there was a delay in some aspects on the Romanian side; these are not supposed to affect the speed of the construction in a tangible way.
