Bulgaria's Deputy Health Minister, Valery Tsekov, reported Wednesday that they are three more possible swine flu A(H1N1) cases tested in the country.

A student from Plovdiv, who was on board a plane with a Turkish passenger who has swine flu, is currently being tested for the virus.

The man is a 21-year-old and arrived in Bulgaria on May 15 on a flight from the US. RIOKOZ have received the alert about him traveling with the passenger who was a confirmed A(H1N1) case. The young man has fully cooperated with the authorities.

The second tested individual, with a suspicious knee swelling, is also from Plovdiv. The 35-year old recently returned to Bulgaria from the US as well. The man had complained of knee pains and suffered high fever. RIOKOZ says he does not have any swine flu symptoms but is being tested as a precaution.

The third case is in Smolyan and also concerns a young man recently arriving from the US. He has respiratory illness symptoms and is hospitalized while the samples were sent to be analyzed in Sofia. The patient himself requested to be tested for the A(H1N1) virus.

The Deputy Health Minister said the final test results are expected in three days since some of the samples were still in route to Sofia.

The authorities also announced that they were trying to localize a group of Bulgarians, who traveled with a German national with a proven case of A(H1N1).

The young man from Veliko Tarnovo, who is so far the first confirmed Bulgarian swine flu case, is reported in good condition and is expected to be released from the hospital as early as Wednesday
