A 3,1-magnitude earthquake was felt in Northern Greece south of Bulgaria's border around 3 pm Saturday afternoon.

The epicenter of the earthquake was about 200 km southeast of the Bulgarian capital Sofia, and some 56 km north of the city of Thessaloniki, according to the Bulgarian Ministry of Emergency Situations, which cited data of the Geophysical Institute of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences.

About an hour later, a second earthquake of roughly the same magnitude was registered in Southern Greece, with an epicenter about 85 km west of Piraeus.

No casualties or damages have been reported in either of the earthquakes.
