Bulgaria Serbia to Get EUR 2,9 B from IMF: Serbia to Get EUR 2,9 B from IMF The standby agreement has been extended with one more year to April 2011.

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has approved a standby agreement with Serbia for EUR 2,9 B.

IMF's press office has announced that the sum is almost 10% of Serbia's gross domestic product (GDP). The Balkan country may immediately receive a EUR 788 M grant.

The money will help Serbian government's measures to deal with the negative effects of the global financial crisis.

The standby agreement has been extended with one more year to April 2011.
