The Bulgarian Telecommunication Company (BTC) profit for the first quarter of 2009 decreased by 32% year-on-year.
For the first three months of 2009, BTC's profit fell to BGN 21,024 M, compared to BGN 31,320 M for the same period in 2008.
The total income also decreased, but only by 1% reaching BGN 254,440 M, while the company's spendings were BGN 228,325 M.
