Sofia airport has plans in place to deal with any suspected cases of swine flu, though none have been reported in the country, officials announced.
Any arrival at the new terminal at Sofia airport, whose body temperature exceeds 36.8, will be isolated in specially designed rooms. This was announced by Deputy Health Minister Valeri Tsekov, who inspected Wednesday the functioning of the thermal scanners installed as a preventive measure against the spread of swine flu to the country.
The old terminal of the airport, as well as the airports in Varna, Burgas and Plovdiv will also be equipped with such facilities.
"The isolator will determine the cause for the person's high temperature and the risk he faces to have contracted the swine flu," Tsekov said.
