The Bulgarian sailors kidnapped by Somali pirates are alive and doing well.

The sailors on board the "Malaspina Castle" ship were kidnapped on April 6 and are reported in good condition by the company manager of the ship, quoted by the spokesperson of the Bulgarian Foreign Ministry, Dragovest Goranov.

Goranov warned against any analogy with the recently rescued US ship captain because those were different incidents, most likely involving different Somali pirate groups.

There are currently over 200 sailors held captive by Somali pirates in the area.

Goranov further said that Danka Pachova, the kidnapped Bulgarian aid worker, who was abducted in Somalia in the beginning of November 2008 was also in good condition.
