Bulgaria star winger Martin Petrov is likely to move to Tottenham Hotspur from Manchester City in the summer according to UK media reports.
UK tabloid ‘The Sun', announced Friday that London club Tottenham Hotspur are set to raid Premier League rivals Manchester City for Petrov at the end of the season.
Although Spurs have been linked with Middlesbrough's England international winger Stewart Downing of late, it is claimed that they have turned their attention to the Bulgarian to solve their problems on the left side of midfield.
The 30-year-old made an impressive start to his career with the Manchester City last season, scoring five goals in 39 appearances.
However, a knee injury sustained in October 2008 has limited his playing time this campaign, with the former Athletico Madrid star featuring on just eight occasions.
It is also suggested that Petrov has become surplus to requirements at Eastlands, with Robinho ahead of him in the packing order and more big name signings expected to arrive in the summer.
Apparently, Tottenham tried to sign him when Martin Jol was manager in 2007, but he opted to join City instead.
