A protest rally of environmentalists and citizens blocked Friday afternoon Bulgarian capital Sofia's downtown, BGNES reported.
The protest is against the upcoming dismissal of the directors of three Bulgarian mountain natural parks, "Vitosha", "Strandzha", and "Vrachanski Balkan", and called for measures to save Bulgarian nature.
Some opposition MPs warned Friday that the discharging of the directors of those natural parks was upcoming.
The reasons for firing them are allegedly their attempts to stop investors from taking away land from the natural parks for construction purposes, the independent MP, Maria Kapon, explained.
The environmentalist rally completely paralyzed Sofia's downtown traffic for about an hour.
