Bulgarians breathe the most polluted air in Europe according to a Ministry of Environment and Waters report that was released late Wednesday, Bulgarian daily newspaper 24 Chasa reported.
The Ministry report, �Strategy for Protection of the Environment until 2018', stated that the average Bulgarian inhales 55 micrograms of cancerous dust each year, 3 more than anywhere else in Europe.
Romanians are the second most affected, inhaling an average of 52 micrograms and the average in Europe is almost half of that in Bulgaria at 30 micrograms.
The ministry scientific experts informed that most of these dangerous particles are found in Bulgaria's big cities and that they mainly come from power stations, vehicles and dirty streets.
