The leadership of the Bulgarian Parliament is going to strip, ahead of term, Vladimir Kuzov of his powers as a Member of the Parliament (MP), Anglel Naydenov, Chair of the Parliamentary Group of the ruling Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP) announced Tuesday.
The proposal is being prepared and is going to be officially submitted by the Parliament's leadership, the BSP MP explained.
According to Naydenov, there was no need for discussion of the proposal because the decree mandates that a MP is dismissed from his post when there is an effective sentence.
The proposal is going to be introduced in the Parliamentary agenda Thursday and is going to be voted Friday.
On February 18, the Bulgarian Supreme Cassation Court passed a five-year suspended sentence on Vladimir Kuzov, who is charged with pedophilia and homosexual intercourse with the juvenile Nikolai Kirilov.
This is the Court's final judgment and cannot be appealed.
