Bulgaria came away from their friendly international with Switzerland with their heads held high, seemingly recovered from the demolition by Serbia at the end of 2008. Stanimir Stoylov's first game back as coach of Bulgaria ended in an entertaining 1-1 draw in Geneva.

Litex Lovech player, Ivelin Popov, gave Bulgaria the lead in the 33rd minute of a match watched by 9,500 spectators at a cold and damp Stade de Geneve. Dimitar Berbatov soon had a chance to make it 2-0 but wasted it when clean through on the Swiss goalkeeper.

The Swiss equalizer came on the stroke of half time, with Benjamin Huggel scoring after a fine pass from Switzerland's number 1 scorer of all time, Alexander Frei.

Both sides were preparing for 2010 World Cup qualifiers on March 28. Switzerland plays Moldova in Group 2, while Bulgaria take on Ireland in a must win match for Stoylov's men in Group 8.

What do you make of the Bulgarian Formula 1-gate involving the Abu Dhabi company EABG?
It demonstrates the total incompetence of the Bulgarian state administration.

It is a plot on part of certain people trying to extort money from the Abu Dhabi company.

It is a attempt to establish a Formula 1 facility with foreign money in order to serve the interests of certain circles in Bulgaria.

It is a genuine attempt to find a proper foreign investor for a Formula 1 facility in Bulgaria which ran into trouble because of misunderstandings.
