Bulgaria Young Tennis Star Sets up Meeting with World Number 1 Nadal
The 17-year-old Dimitrov will probably now get the chance of his career so far, a match up with superstar world number 1, Rafael Nadal, who is fresh off his victory in the first Grand Slam of the year in Australia.
In the first Masters tournament of the year in Rotterdam, Holland, Dimitrov defeated Tomas Berdych of the Czech Republic 4-6, 6-3, 6-4 in the first round, moving ahead to likely take on Nadal in the 1/8 finals. Now Nadal has to secure what is a simple victory on paper, in his match against Simone Bolelli of Italy in the first round.
Grigor Dimitrov is currently ranked 478th in the world and will definitely enter the top 400 next week after this performance.

"Your mind, as usual, is in the gutter!"
Bill, I am old-school, like you. I am not a militant feminist. I think more along the lines of what's the point of having sexuality if you don't use it? I am a woman, you are a man, women know how to get things from men. I am not a bit embarrassed or mortified to use my God-given sexuality to get what I want. lol
"Bulgaria Young Tennis Star Sets up Meeting with World Number 1 Nadal"
Bill you are missing my subtle sense of humor. I am making fun of the headline. Does it not sound from this headline like the Bulgarian set up a date with Nadal? It should have been worded a bit differently if the match with Nadal was the luck of the draw. lol
"Why does he want a date with Nadal? Is Nadal gay or something?"
Your mind, as usual, is in the gutter! It's the luck of the draw. If you look at the draw (you don't have videotext in the US) you'll see that he's in the pairing just below Nadal. Since he won his match, his next opponent will be the winner of Nadal's next match, which surely will be Nadal.
He didn't "set up" anything; it's just the luck of the draw.
You are right, I am due for a vacation like that.
BTW, I will check out the movie you saw. I have a Czech friend, sounds like about your age. He left at age 12 when the tanks were rolling in Prague, a very intellectual guy. If you make it to L.A., we'll hang out.
Wow, Nellie, you have me all fired up to look for a Bulgarian man now. Haven't had one...
I do agree, the European men DO understand.
As far as the ones who play the "distant" game, it is because they don't have much to offer, and they usually loose. It's a turn off for me.
Why does he want a date with Nadal? Is Nadal gay or something?
Don't get me wrong, I LOVE Bulgarian men. Bulgarians wrote the book on seduction. They make you feel like a woman. No, like a goddess.
Although, when they get transported to the US something bad happens. Perhaps they spoil on the flight over........Hmmmm........
But while they are in Bulgaria, they are amazing. I don't know what it is, exactly, but it has something to do with the way they look at you. American men think they can seduce women by being cool and distant, and they couldn't be more wrong. If American men knew what Bulgarian men seem to know from birth, we would all be having sex all the time. lol
