Bulgaria's industrial output registered a 8,3% decrease in December 2008 year-on-year, according to data released by the National Statistic Institute Tuesday.

The most significant reductions are in the extraction of iron ore - 64,9%, extraction production as a whole - 25,1%, and processing industry - 10,2%.

The Bulgarian industrial production decreases for the second month in a row, but at the same time it marks a 1,7% increase compared to November 2008.

The industrial output registered increase in the production and distribution of electric energy, natural gas and water - 15,6%, in the production of lumber, paper, cardboard and paper and cardboard products - 10.2%, and in the production of chemical products - 6.7%.
