Representatives of the socialist Discussion Club for Local Social Policy (DKMSP) in Sofia erected a sign Sunday mocking Sofia's Mayor Boyko Borisov and his statements about who is responsible for the city's roads.
The sign, stating: "According to "Mayor" B. Bosrisov Sofia Ends Here," was placed at the intersection of the "Tsar Boris III" boulevard and Sofia's beltway. The imitative was triggered by Borisov's statements that the boulevard's maintenance was the responsibility of the National "Road Infrastructure" Agency.
The Club's Chair Boris Tsvetkov told media representatives that about a month ago, the Sofia municipality had put a sign at that same location, apologizing for the deplorable state of the road and saying that its maintenance was not within the Mayor's duties.
"To Borisov, erecting such a sign, meant the end of his commitments," Tsvetkov said.
According to the socialist, the Sofia Municipality missed the deadline of September 1, 2009 to apply for State finds for the road's reconstruction.
