Representatives of the Brazilian metallurgy giant CSN are expected to negotiate Tuesday the purchase of Bulgaria's troubled steel mill "Kremikovtzi", Lyudmil Pavlov from the Mill's Trade Unions reported for the Darik radio.
CSN are going to meet with representatives of the Bulgarian Economy and Energy Ministry at the Ministry's building.
The "Kremikovtzi" Trade Unions mandated that the mill strategic investor becomes known by January 21. CSN, however, rescheduled their visit, while the other possible candidate - the Ukrainian "Smart" group asked for a one week extension to announce their final decision.
The Trade Unions continue to insist that the Bulgarian Energy Minister designates and investor and appraises them on the current situation, otherwise they are threatening to stage new mass protest rallies in downtown Sofia.
Regarding the extension, requested by the Ukrainians, Pavlov stated that the deadline would be Thursday, adding that any delay from now on would be fatal for the steel mill.
