An anonymous bomb threat triggered the evacuation of all passengers from the express train Varna - Sofia Friday, the Bulgarian State Railways (BDZ) reported for the Darik radio.

The person in charge of the train found at 12:15 pm in the first train car a note saying "In the name of Al Jazeera, there is bomb on this train; it will explode and all will die in its name."

The authorities and the railroad police have been immediately notified. All passengers have been evacuated and taken to the railway station of the town of Cherven Bryag and later put on another train.

Employees of the Transportation Police and firemen have checked the train and have not found a bomb, however, special task forces continue to search the composition.

The BDZ spokesperson warned that the incident would cause disruptions and delays of all train schedules in Northern Bulgaria.
