The charges against the two people who perpetrated the murder of college student Stoyan Baltov have been revised, the Chief of Sofia's Seventh Police Precinct Petar Nedelchev reported Tuesday.

The two have been charged with murder. If convicted they face between 15 and 20 years behind bars.

Until now Vily Georgiev and Alexander Danailov have been charged with inflicting severe bodily injuries and reckless murder.

The Seventh Precinct is located in the Sofia "Studentski Grad" (College Town) district. In December, 20-year-old student Stoyan Baltov was killed in a drunken fight near a disco club in the district. The killing triggered mass student protests in downtown Sofia - students have been blaming the State's negligence for the tragedy.
