The Bulgarian Prime Minister Sergey Stanishev is leaving for Moscow for an emergency visit, the Russian information agency "Novosti" reported Tuesday evening.

"Novosti" further informs that the Prime Minister of Slovakia was on his way to the Russian capital.

Discussions about the ongoing issue of Russian gas supplies to Europe is cited as he purpose of both PM trips.

In their report "Novosti" quote the Russian Cabinet press center.

The Bulgarian Cabinet has unofficially confirmed for the Darik radio the news about Stanishev's trip to Moscow.
