Three fake policemen committed an armed robbery at a hypermarket from the BILLA store chain in Sofia late Tuesday night.

The three men dressed up as policemen entered the store, which is located in the Lagera Quarter, shortly after 11:30 p.m., threatened the staff with guns, and took away all money from the cash registers.

The police have not specified the exact amount of money that was stolen but according to a number of reports it was several hundred thousand BGN. None one from the store staff was wounded during the robbery.

The Sofia police sealed off the BILLA store immediately after they arrived, and the investigation is under way.
