Dead Body of Fourth Hellish Crash Victim Found in Bulgaria

Society | December 22, 2008, Monday

Rescue teams found Monday morning the dead body of the last victim of the tragic car accident that killed four Bulgarian teenagers close to the southern town of Rudozem, which occurred two days ago.

The body of Seliha Ahmedova, 16, was discovered near a hydro-electric power station, in the waters of Arda River, where the vehicle she was riding in fell after the driver lost control over it.

The 18-year-old driver Safedin D. from the village of Srednogortsi was taking three girls and a boy, aged 14, 15, 16, and 15 respectively, to a disco in the town of Rudozem around 10 pm on Saturday evening, when the accident occurred.

The driver and the three girls drowned, and only the 15-year-old survived the accident.

Madan Municipality, where the victims were born, has declared two days of mourning Monday and Tuesday. The Christmas festive events there have been canceled.
