Commenting article: Iceland Declared a Political Boycott of the World Cup '18

(Reuters) - Iceland’s leaders will not attend the soccer World Cup in Russia this year as part of an international response to punish the Kremlin for a nerve agent attack on a former Russian spy in England that the British government has blamed on Moscow.

Despite the tiny island nation of just over 300,000 people making it to the finals of the world’s biggest soccer tournament, there will be no Icelandic diplomatic presence at the World Cup, the Foreign Ministry said on Monday.

The British government is full of liars, they probably poisoned Skripal themselves, just so they could blame Russia and take the public\'s mind off the total mess that they are making of Brexit.

You cannot believe a word the British government say, Iraq didn\'t have WMD, Libya was far better off with Gaddaffi in charge and the government of Syria didn\'t need Britain and America helping the Islamic State subvert it.

Just because the BBC says it\'s true doesn\'t make it so.

I don't even think it was that chemical WMD, nobody died, which says a lot that there's something fishy...they used something non-lethal substance and they refused to provide samples and proof...interesting is that there's a chemical n bio WMD facility within miles of the incident...probably got the non-lethal substance there, it should be investigated, but then UK would investigate themselves...

Brexit n other setbacks ie bad negotiations by May going back on many promises probably set it off, but it was going to happen eventually since the sanctions are not working because Russia is focusing on other international markets n also their domestic market has gotten a boost, so the west need something james bond type villain b-movie stuff to win over countries that aren't interested in sanctions to try to bring Russia to heel.

The spy traitor was in putin's jail for years, could have killed him anytime he wanted to, yet would do so just prior to election and the football world cup that cost billions? That spy has probably been pumped for information years ago, he has no new knowledge.

This is short-term thinking and panic attack by west, they are flustered that 20th century status quo where they were dominate in the world is ending, 21st century will see rise of many new powers n strong economies, it will be an asian century. West wants to gather all the advantages it can gets its claws on, that's why they made coup in Ukraine.

The Chinese currency has now been tied to oil, hopefully it will severely give USA pain, i'm sick of western interference and ability to cause mischief in the world. Another nail in the coffin for the US will be north stream 2. They are so panicy they threaten to sanction their EU allies...but Germany will put its own interest first, whatever the US does.

West will do some mischief before the world cup, you can bet on it...

Well that did not go so well, people do not believe. Let us bomb Syria instead, that will take the people\'s minds off the mess we are making of Brexit.
