Commenting article: General Practitioners to Stage Protests Across Bulgaria

Clearly I am unable to communicate in a way that appeals to your delicate sensitivities - but I can't imagine why you should imagine that that is of the slightest concern to me.

There is nothing in the Hippocratic Oath that prevents doctors from going on strike (or going on holiday or sleeping or specialising in ailments of the rich or....); in any event, breaching that oath is not a crime, except perhaps in La-La Land.

I certainly recognise that you have an opinion, and that you are perfectly entitled to hold that opinion - in the same way that I am entitled to my opinion that you are something of an i.d.i.o.t. My comment wasn't a threat - veiled or otherwise; why would I bother to "threaten" some faceless m.o.r.o.n on an internet site, even if he/she is clearly a sandwich or two short of a picnic?

Splitting Hairs? For goodness sake that is the main reason that defends their actions! The query is the same as others are asking. Do not bother to reply, I feel that our 'correspondence is at an end

Goodness me. If you are most concerned about splitting hairs, why don't you write to the Bulgarian Medical Board and ask them yourself. I'm sure they'll tell you exactly what they think of your query.

Your inability to communicate sensitively is rather amusing! We are entitled to a difference in opinion but the point I raised, not for myself as I am blessed with good health, but for others who are not. Define what is 'A medical crew is avaliable'? I certainly ascertained the articles comments but you do not seem to recognise an others opinion. I do not believe that a Doctor should strike, as I am sure that you realise, it is against the Hypocratic Oath that they had undertaken.
I find the comment, that I would have known if you had insulted me, rather a veiled threat, which, I am sure, was not intended.

No insult - just a simple question. Doctors are people and should have the right to withdraw their labour if they think it justified - just like almost anyone else. What strange definition of "responsible" do you have if people can't go on strike when they, as responsible people, feel that they have no other option - and why should they care about some whining comment?

What answer to your "point" do you expect? You don't agree with their action, others don't agree with you - I think you've had your answer; if you'd don't like it, then I guess that we must be "responsible" for your acute inability to grasp a simple point. I certainly haven't "insulted" you - believe me, you'd know it if I had!

Sorry Tania, again my point has not been answered, it is not a case understanding, it is a case of defining 'medical Crew available' surely. No, how can they be responsible if they are on strike!

There is medical crew available, what don't you understand about that?
But anyway, as long as they remain "resposonsible" it won't "effect" you will it?

Ah, Seedy, so You are one those people who think that to insult a person makes you feel good! you must be British!, As a matter of fact the problem is yours , for as mentioned it does not state as to what cover has been arranged, for all we know it may be just a nurse!
Yes I do object to Doctors going on strike, as they are in England as well, no responsability! By the way, I am not whining but commenting! Do you know the difference?

Barra1 - can you read? Emergency cover will be provided wherever strike action is taken - and merely being elderly isn't an acute problem, so their action won't "effect" any patients with critical needs.

In any case, what makes you think that doctors somehow shouldn't have the right to withdraw their labour when they deem it necessary - it's not their fault that someone is old or ill, is it? If they maintain emergency cover then stop whining and let them protest!

I am very surprised at the GP strike, what are they doing with regards to their patients, especially the elderly? The allocation of \'one medical of crew\' remaining on \'duty\' is far from a resposonsible response. Surgest that they all return to their duties and then negotiate the terms that the feel they are entitled to and not effect the health of their patients!
