A total of 1,4 million Macedonian citizens from Slavic origin and another 300,000 ethnic Turks, who were forcefully driven out of Bulgaria in the 80s, are lining up for a passport in Sofia and could gain EU citizenship through the back door, says Le Figaro.
"Very often on the threshold of poverty these citizens live in countries, which are centuries away from the standards of the European Union. But they all can claim they are eligible for the precious passports," the article comments.
According to it more than 4000 people applied for Hungarian citizenship since January, while the authorities in Bucharest wait between 250 000 and 400 000 applications for passports by the end of the year....
Le Figaro showed once again incompetence. First at the Berlin Congress 1878 the Treaty of San Stefano was revised and the Bulgarian Nation separated 2.5 of almost 4 Million Bulgarians who where Liberated as a result of the Russian Turkish war living on the Territory defined as Bulgaria in the treaty from San Stefano, where not permitted to enjoy the liberation and become free and independent citizen of Bulgaria where left under Ottoman yoke for another almost 35 years. For the support provided by Her Majestic Government in the successful attempt to impede the creation off a friendly to Russia Big Bulgarian state and revise the Treaty of San Stefano, Turkey gave to Great Britain, the Island of Cyprus... The British Empire later, at the end of WWI, annexed the Island formally until 1960 when under the pressure of the independence Movement on the Island itself, the Cyprus got its independence from the British Empire.
So after only4 Months of Independence a lot of Bulgarians remained from July1878 until 1912/1913 remained under Ottoman auspices. A new Bone of contention was created. The ancient geographical region of Macedonia, become the main part of a tragic Diveda and Impera scenario, from which Bulgarians are suffering the most to this days. Fortunately everybody who feels Bulgarian wherever he might live, can get today a Bulgarian Passport. Why West Germany could do this for almost 40 years, all over the World, by issuing Passpports to "East Germans", Bulgaria can not do it for its compatriots who suffered the most, either in the East, in the West, North and South? Do only Germans have rights...?
"Le Figaro showed once again incompetence. First at the Berlin Congress 1878 the Treaty of San Stefano was revised"
No, you show again your incompetence, especially regarding your reading and comprehension skills. There is no mentioning at all of the Berlin Treaty or the San Stefano Preliminary Treaty (not: Treaty).
"Why West Germany could do this for almost 40 years, all over the World, by issuing Passpports to "East Germans", Bulgaria can not do it for its compatriots who suffered the most, either in the East, in the West, North and South? Do only Germans have rights...?"
You talk a lot of nonsense when the day is long. There was no "West German" or "East German" nationality, only a German nationality.
I do not want to get into a dispute with you on names.... It was in a fact a treaty to which all signatories of the Final act of the Berlin Congress, which took place from june 13 - to july 13 1878... The Peace treaty of San Stefano had a character of a Treaty, indeed a fait a complis, with regard to the borders of the liberated Bulgarian Nation....
Nothing changes the fact that you as an honest dish slicker will always be against, but that will not change the fact that Le Figaro is spreading wrong interpretations of historic facts.... Your well know views will also not change that fact.
"Nothing changes the fact that you as an honest dish slicker will always be against, but that will not change the fact that Le Figaro is spreading wrong interpretations of historic facts.... Your well know views will also not change that fact"
You also hear voices? How can Le Figaro spread wrong interpretations about historical facts that it is not mentioning or to which they are not refering? It was YOU and not Le Figaro who is refering to San Stefano Preliminary Treaty. But we all know you have problems to understand simple facts...hehehe.
always German dish slickers sold Bulgaria's interest for nothing.... Like you do even now,,,
Was it not enough for Bulgaria that two World wars where lost as German allies?
Yea we know thats not enough for you."
You said: Le Figaro is misinforming its readers about the Treaty of San Stefano.
I said: You cannot read properly, because Le Figaro is NOT refering to the Preliminary Treaty, and can therefore logically also not misinform its readers about this topic to which they are not refering.
Your answer to this: the usual off-topic puke (see above).
The conclusion of the readers on this forum (the one's that can read): You are a moron and a filthy demented Stalinist.
And now: PISS OFF, reatrd!
'Le Figaro showed once again incompetence'.
No, unfortunately Novinite.com in this case showed its incompetence. The 'masterpiece' claim that 'Bulgaria occupied much of Macedonia three times between 1878 and 1913' is not of Le Figaro but of Sofia News Agency. As well as most of the statements in the text.
This ambitious article creates a false impression that everything in it stems from Le Figaro whereas the original has quite a different focus:
Small wonder that some Skopje authors are making extensive use of Novinite 'professionalism'.
"Nik, your clarification is welcomed. As usual the so called "professionals" of" novinite.com" have nothing to do with all that stuff...."
Funny, I wrote EXACTLY the same as Nik - but Stalin's Buddy reacted very differently, just to prove how demented he is.
"Funny, I wrote EXACTLY the same as Nik - but Stalin's Buddy reacted very differently, just to prove how demented he is."
Dr. of many arts and a master of none,
it is obvious from the postings that Buddy brought his arguments (Treaty of St. Stephan etc.) against Le Figaro as posted by Novinite. Nick then told the forum that Novinite's posting was a bit more "elaborated" compared to the original article. Thanks to Buddy we at the forum (at least I) know the opinion of a Bulgarian on the particular topic which fulfills the very purpose of participating in forums like this, that is to learn from hearing others, test our knowledge and beliefs on various matters as well as share our experiences on regional and local issues in the Balkans particularly.
There is no cartesian logic in your posting, as you did not write EXACTLY as Nick, but again there very little logic in any of your postings and thanks to clowns like you and the anonymity of the forum we can all understand first hand the prejudice, racism, arrogance and aggressive behavior from your "civilized Europe"
towards the Balkan people and their countries.
"we can all understand first hand the prejudice, racism, arrogance and aggressive behavior from your "civilized Europe" towards the Balkan people and their countries"
Oh, please...Cry me a river! Balkan people always trot out racism etc. etc. as a defense. Why don't they look at themselves and try some self-improvement instead of the victim nonsense? Aggressive behavior, my a**. Eurpe has a right to protect its culture and civilization from the Balkan hordes of savages.
