Commenting article: Dilma Rouseff Inches Ahead in Brazil's Presidential Elections

Dilma Rouseff, the Brazilian presidential candidate of Bulgarian origin, is increasing her lead in the race for Brazil's Presidential Elections in October.

A public opinion poll of the Globo TV channel shows that Rouseff has a public support of 41% vs. 33% for her major opponent Jose Cera, cited by BGNES. Thus, Rouseff's lead has grown from only 1% a month ago.

Three other public opinion polls in the last month gave Rouseff a lead of between 5% and 10% ahead of Cera.

As many Bulgarians with Heritage of a Bulgarian in Latin America, the heritage is hidden and not revealed.

This is very hard to understand since the Bulgarian Community is small and not in unison to market the beauty of Bulgaria.

I feel, the Foreign Ministry of Bulgaria should invite her to Bulgaria and awake her heritage and this will open great ties in the future, for example food, mineral and energy exportation for Bulgaria building strong security bond between Bulgaria and Brazil who are Emerging Economies. The opportunities are great for both populations by inducing an economic development process for Bulgaria and Brazil.

We ex-Patriates of Bulgaria living in Brazil we are seeking ties with our homeland that depicts unknown for the local populations.

This bimbo is only half Bulgarian, the communist half. And she does not consider herself Bulgarian, just like the Obaminator does not consider himself African. Big whoop that her father was some dumb old commie bastard! The sooner forgotten, the better for her political career.

Nillie,

You are very astute concerning Dilma, but Bulgaria should not disregard Brazil that is a power house in Food Security and Energy. These two areas are fundamental instruments in EU Policies.

Remember the EU is in an "Austerity Programme" with little GDP Growth and an Emerging Economy is helpful to contribute to growth.

Dilma will fall when the Transparency is revealed by candidates for the opposition.

Brazil is an Emerging Economy with a Left Wing leaning using Hoxha Albanian philosophy and School of Thought which stems Dilma's training.

"Remember the EU is in an "Austerity Programme" with little GDP Growth and an Emerging Economy is helpful to contribute to growth."

What is wrong with no growth? Why does the economy have to keep growing all the time? And Europe may be on an austerity program, but Germany is doing great. Only China exports more than Germany and look at the size of China compared to Germany.

I don't trust Brazil and would never invest there. The population is too ignorant and lazy, and the government too socialist.

Nellie,

Brazil major export is USA and Germany.

It seems USA and Germany knows how to keep the price down of fruits and meat by importing Brazilian Commodity Tropical Production.

Let us not forget alchool for fuel using sugarcane and not corn or wheat that contributes to high food costs. How you forget the $200 barrel for petro.

Nellie, do not bite the hand that feeds you!

Brazil is a blessing on USA and European kitchen tables.

"Brazil is a blessing on USA and European kitchen tables."

Actually, we could do with fewer Brazilian imports here in NJ. If Brazil is so great, how come New Jersey is full of the vermin? There are whole sections of Newark, NJ where Portuguese is the official language. lol

Nellie,

As a former New Jersey resident, we have to redefine the term “Vermin”, which is labelling many immigrants that are entering the United States. The Brazilian immigrants are workers represented as waiters, construction workers, gardeners and clean-up crews working for many Jersey municipalities.

The precious United States Unemployed Workers do not like to take these positions due to ego and identify as very important person syndrome. These American Workers prefer to collect unemployment insurance rather than enter the work force below scale employment. The United States Worker prefers to enter the “Tit” of the Government rather than get their feet wet in another profession. Now let us look closely at the term “Vermin” and who should truly be classified as “Vermin”.

The term “Vermin” is not a term which the “American Dream”!

Boy, are you delusional! You have NO idea what you are talking about. I don't know any Americans who would rather collect unemployment than work for double the money. I don't know any American who would rather not work and not pay his mortgage and lose his house. There is no more "government tit" in New Jersey. Haven't you heard about Governor Chris Christie? He is a rock star! I want this man for President!

"The term “Vermin” is not a term which the “American Dream”!"

The American dream is over, baby! You are about 50 years too late for the "American dream".

Nellie,

The loss of the World Trade Centre in New York, preparation for a New National Security Plan, Wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, the cost of gasoline running close to $200 a barrel and now surprise Unemployment and Recession, hovering close to a Depression.

USA experience WWI, WWII, Korean War, Israel Six Days War, Vietnam, Israel 1973 War and Persian Gulf. Think how much Dollars the US Treasury Printed to pay the bill and with various Tax Reform Programs beginning from 1954, 1969, Economic Stabilization and Post 90s and 2000 periods.

Result, USA importation of Chinese Goods, Arab Petroleum and Food Production contributed to low USA production and high Consumer Consumption without due planning and respect for one proper causing a lag in future planning for the USA.
You have to return to the basics, as President Kennedy said, “Ask not what your can do for you, but what you can do for your Country”, that is the secret of USA development process.

Nellie, you are an example of old USA ignorance from the “Armpits” of New Jersey who lack inspiration of what the USA is all about but consume and fatten up without muscle and guts.

President Obama is struggling to overcome the USA syndrome of consumption, which lacks the development process that is sustainable. But through President Bush, using US Treasury to print Dollars for the mortgage markets and investments out control and regulations for the American Public to be silent when entering in Iraq and Afghanistan a no win situation but a “Status Quo” in military strategy as seen through history and especially in Korea and Vietnam.

"President Obama is struggling to overcome the USA syndrome of consumption"

No, he is not. Chris Christie, the Governor of New Jersey is doing this. He is trying to get the public sector parasites and the unions to stop looting the tax payers.

The reason there is no manufacturing left in the US is the result of the labor union's ridiculous expectations, their benefits and pensions. And the reason the price of housing is unaffordable to most working class people is because of the construction worker's unions. Unfortunately for housing and infrastructure, it can't be outsourced to China or Mexico. Construction has to be performed on site, and the construction workers unions have the tax payer by the short hairs.

Sometimes I am sitting here wondering why are we so advanced in all sorts of technology, computers, science, and medicine and yet we are still living in hovels made out of sticks and stones. Humanity has to invent a better way to live and to store its stuff than houses made of sticks and stones by greedy imbeciles.

Most young white Americans voted for Obama because he PROMISED to get our troops out of Iraq and Afghanistan. My daughter has friends from high school who went to Iraq twice for 18 months each time, and were asked to go again, for a third time. These were the kids who helped elect the Obaminator. And they aren't voting for him again.

In addition, Oh-bumer is doing nothing to shrink the government and the public sector. Quite the opposite--he is bloating and growing the government and the public sector. How much more taxes can the working people in the private sector take?!? Government is out of control and it has to be taken down a notch or two or three. That's what the tea party is asking for. Smaller, more efficient government, lower taxes, no bailing out of anything or anyone. If it is too big to fail, it is too big to be in business and it should fail. And no hand-outs to the imbeciles in Iraq and Afghanistan. The Taliban are now drowned in Pakistan, they will not be so bold and violent in future. Just leave them to their own devices, to live like they have always lived.

Nellie,

Ask your daughter or friends what is a Taliban or al-Qaeda or Hamas or the resident of a ghetto in old Beirut. You will find the education system in New Jersey did not prepare or teach these young heros what they are getting into.

Look closely at the Psych wards at the VA Hospitals in the USA. Many Vets are seeking VA Pensions due to Psych stress.

This is due because the soldier does not know who is the enemy, is it Sunnite or Sh'ite or Persian or Fundamentalist or one crazy suicide bomber or Tribal Leader in Pakistan or Afghanistan.

Who knows?

I prefer to play a little soccer with old friends in Sofia, who are Jewish, Moslem and Orthodox and Bulgarian our goal is to score a goal.

This is the beauty of Bulgaria.

In WWII it was called shell shock. It's not uncommon in war zones, and in that war we knew who the enemy was.
