Commenting article: Bulgarian Academy Scientists Reported to Be in Touch with Aliens

Scientists from the Space Research Institute of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences (BAS) have been reported to be in touch with extraterrestrial beings.

The Bulgarian Novinar Daily has reported that the Bulgarian scientists are currently working on deciphering pictograms which are said to have come in the form of the so called “crop circles” with which the aliens answered 30 questions posed by the BAS researchers.

“They are currently all around us, and are watching us all the time. They are not hostile towards us; rather, they want to help us but we have not grown enough in order to establish direct contact with them. They are ready to help us but we don’t know what to request from them in case of contact,” said Lachezar Filipov, Deputy Director of the Space Research Institute of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, as quoted by the Novinar Daily.

Crop circles are pictograms from extraterrestrials. Oh really?

I'm fairly certain that too much rakia can cause some at the BAS to see flying pink elephants as well.

alien13:

As an American cartoonist neatly put it: "The surest sign of intelligent life in the universe is that none of it has tried to contact us."

This is a disgrace. Bulgaria has become world renowned for corruption, poverty and child neglect: now our Space Research Institute -recently gaining some respect for satellite technology- looks like a bunch of idiots. Alien contact and crop circles indeed. That 1 million Euro could be put to far better use.

I am quite sure that in the BAS there are also some people who hear voices...

If this story is true, then the BAS is even more of a joke than we thought.

Radical reforms are required!

Don't you guys in Cali have enough problems already without any alien invasions? Better put your aluminum cone hat back on, it seems your brain might be a bit fried from solar radiation or something. lol

Aliens my ass...

I could understand, if the above mentioned scentists had observed me crawling home from the local mehana after a game of poker. Naked (apart from my old Danner boots), spewing a green substance up in the air and, sounding like Baba Nellie under heavy influence.

Just my two stotinki

Thretening is to the sceptic's EGO what is outside his knowing and believe. It will shower with insults others expressions although not being directet on them.
Sceptics: no one is forcing on you their facts. Give your oppinion in your area of expertise, if any.
Lead, follow or get out of the way.

there's still a reflex to ridicule this sort of thing huh? that's too bad, if you just research the subject a little you'd see there ain't much to ridicule anymore. sure there's lots of hoaxes but so what, get a grip already, not all hoax.
lot's of crop circles man made too, but possibly and likely not all, like the ones made in minutes and flying objects seen/recorded. evolve a little and stop ridiculing so much, it's getting old and disappointing.

tigros:

Skepticism is in order unless und until the scientists succeed in receiving an intelligible message.

What with the ability hackers have today, sending something to these scientists from right here on earth doesn't seem to be an impossibility.

Why don't you go put on your aluminum cone hat and call it a day? Solar radiation seems to have damaged your brain, you will want to protect from any further damage.

Alternatively, go and join Scientology, they are looking for morons exactly like you.

Run along, now. LOL
