Commenting article: German-Bulgarian Writer Slams Election of Bokova for UNESCO Head

Renown German writer of Bulgarian origin, Iliya Troyanov (German spelling: Ilija Trojanow) has slammed the election of Irina Bokova for head of UNESCO in an article for the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung.

The article is entitled, "Why UNESCO's Election Is a Scandal" (in German). In it, Troyanov cites Bokova's election as an example of the fact that 20 years after the collapse of communism in Eastern Europe, the former nomenclature is still very powerful.

Troyanov's article focuses on certain moments of Bokova's biography: the fact that her father was a member of the Politburo of the Bulgarian Communist Party, which allowed Bokova to enjoy privileges such as studying at the International Relations Institute in Moscow.

Well Mr. Troyanov is one of those BUlgarians who thanks to his parents permanent stay on an UN Job has learned german in a german schol in Africa or where ever it might be. But a question should be permitted to Mr. Troyanov where his parents from Bulgaria on there Mission abroad and how did they manage to get that job abroad? It would be nice to know what a bribe did his parents pay or what contribution did they make in the anticommunist struggle. Finally is Mr. Troyanov aware that he is writting and spreading full bull shit against a bulgarian, and he himself as ling ago become a German, not only in his writings but also with a German passport, whi fullfills fully Hitlers order " all commisars must be killed". Wit his dummy writings against the Bulgarian official elected to teh post of Director General of UNBESCO, Mr Troyanov has put him self into service of the darkest circles not only in Germany, but of the brown european circles and thefundamentalist forces in the Islamic. Mr. Troyanov is not authorized to represent Bulgarian views and Bulgarias government is obliged to protest on the ece of the elections in Germany to German authorities, because freedom speech does not necesaarily permit spreading false and wrong information on an BUlgarian citizen, who has only recently been elected to a high international position.

I concur with this German-Bulgarian on all counts. He is slicing through the UNESCO issue like a hot knife through butter. He is surprisingly objective, unbiased and well balanced for a Bulgarian. I am very impressed with him. This is the caliber of individual who should be a Minister of Culture or a UNESCO head, not the dumb communist slut.

"Mr. Troyanov is not authorized to represent Bulgarian views "

Buddy,

Mr. Troyanov is not claiming to represent anyone but himself. Can't you for a moment get it through your thick head that the old commie's intimation, intimidation, stupid ridiculing and the rest of it are passé, warn out, finished!. Besides, you don’t have the necessary wits for that.

You are a monumental bore! Get lost, Buddy!

P.S.You sound like an old baba. Even forgot to say WOW this time. Drama Queen!!!! lol

I am gratified to discover that nearly all right-thinking Bulgarians both in Bulgaria and abroad think the same way about this UNESCO fiasco. Buddy is clearly a confused old communist who was educated when they were passing out education based on party membership and not on intelligence.

It must have been difficult to identify a candidate with more solid credentials - and ancestry - deeply rooted in ... Marxism / Leninism. This is a sad commentary on the state of UNESCO, and worse yet, on the state of affairs in Bulgaria. Seriously, is Irina Bokova the best Bulgaria can offer?

No Sir, you might coose and live with Nellie of America, but not UNESCO or the UN. But her ordinaire language, in Goebels style, meaning repeat a lie 100 times on the first page of a newspaper and it will become the truth, is obviously what you an DP like the most. But rest assured Sir the days of those who attempt to reemerge and would like to reinvent HItlers days on a new stage, are counted. People likelive in an Mickey Mouce world, its only ssad to see that German schools not only in Africa educate more and more people in Hate forgotting that Germans and its servants have created not only Auschwitz and Buchenwald, Treblinka, or Babiy Yar, Vernet, but also Gonda Voda and the assambling points for the transportation of the jews in Greece in Macedonia, Probably some of the ancestors of Nellie, DP and do not forget the Editor in Chief of the Directorate Sofia News, have served as volunteer guards. This is why Mr. Troyanov cross reference to Mr. Elly Wiesel has nothing to do with reality since BUlgarian fascist where the volunteer servanats and executers of Hitlers Nazi policy not only in BUlgaria, but also on the Balkans. His comments are completely out of date and put him on the same line with the bloody Bulgarian antisemits like Proffesor Alexander Zankov. Its time that German authorities call Mr. Troyanov for his antisemtic statements to order, if his not an German Citizen, Bulgarian Authorities has to do so!!!

Buddy,

Keep on ranting, Buddy. Like Goebbels.
Like to clarify something for you: DP doesn't like lies or propaganda.

BTW Otechestven Front had the lies and portraits of megalomaniacs and mass murderers like Stalin on its first page for over 40 years. Would you like me to send you some samples of commie official publications? I keep them for laughs. Wonder if you kept some...
BTW where were you then? Enjoying the good life of privileges? Did you get your lunches delivered to your flat? Did you shop in Korecom with dollars?

Are you a hypocrite or a blind idealist, Buddy?

P.S.Mr. Troyanov is a fine Bulgarian who comes from a fine Bulgarian family. Not like the newly elected furnadjiiska lopata--poor excuse for intellectuals trained in the famous Soviet University for International Relations or for training spies. Didn't you know about the spy schools, Buddy? This is where the best trained moles learned their language skills. They were very, very well trained indeed.

You old communist puke! Stop trying to defend the indefensible. This batty old slut admitted that she was a communist, but now she is no longer a communist. This is standard operating procedure for stupid, morally and intellectually bankrupt communists. First she became a communist because the communists were on top, and since shait floats on top, and she is shait, she had to become a communist so she could float on top. If you can't beat them and if you don't have any moral or intellectual integrity, join them. But of course, the wind started to blow the other way after 1989, so she turned into a "free thinker".....NOT!

UNESCO is a cesspool of stupidity, ineffectiveness, corruption and uselessness. The old communist paper pusher is perfect for them. They are welcome to her, good riddance to bad garbage. Get more like Simeon Djankov in Bulgarian government.

"Its time that German authorities call Mr. Troyanov for his antisemtic statements to order, if his not an German Citizen, Bulgarian Authorities has to do so!!!"

Obviously you haven't read the article or the interview with Troyanov, nor are you familiar with this writer who is definitely not an anti-semite. He just took the liberty to comment on the undeniable fact that there is, let's say, a great continuity in Bulgarian politics. That doesn't make him a supporter of the doubtful Egyptian candidate nor an anti-semite, right?

Oh, by the way, denying the holocaust is a crime in Germany, but not in Bulgaria. Beside this, it is not the task of a government in a democratic system to interfere with the private opinions of its citizens. Seems that is also difficult to understand for you.
