"It's something to be shared gently with a loved one, not an exercise in bedroom gymnastics. There's a sharing of bodies and emotions involved"

Oh, that's so sweet! You are making me blush!

Bill

No one goes on a date or picks up someone planning it to be a one-night stand. Well, some people may do, but most don't. I don't. I am an optimist, always hoping for the best, hoping that this one-night stand will turn into something more. And if/when the guy is not a complete d!ck, it can, it does. The fact that you hooked up in a bar becomes immaterial after a few weeks, months, years.

Bill,
I have had calm nice discussions with you in the past and I can have them again with you when you don't start showing your bigotry and sexism. The history of the threads on hear is proof enough. BTW, I think WW is right you are a masochist.

BTW, I don't think that there is a women on this planet who would ever meet your requirements for being a "lady" b/c women would not accept your outdated POV!

Meh........I don't think Bill is a masochist, just a stoic. He is secret and self-contained, as solitary as an oyster.

I don't have a problem with Bill's outdated point of view (POV). I find it refreshingly chivalrous and sweet and romantic. I would love to be treated by men the way Bill treats "ladies". What could be better than to stay home and take care of my children and my home and not have to work for a living?

Perhaps a "modern" woman wouldn't, but I don't consider the "modern" woman wife material. I don't think the present society is any improvement at all over the one I grew up in. There's more juvenile delinquency; there's more adult crime; there are more welfare cheats, more immorality, more acts of violence against other people, etc., etc., etc. If the adults of today had been raised by caring, loving parents in a secure home environment, these problems never would have arisen.

You've been calling me "sexist" ever since I came onto the forum, and I'm still not sure what that word means, because sex has never been an issue with me before. I work with people of both sexes, and sex isn't important. What is important is harmony within the group and getting the job done.

By the way, what does "POV" mean in the context you're using it? I only know it to stand for privately-owned vehicle.

ROFLMAO! "Perhaps a "modern" woman wouldn't, but I don't consider the "modern" woman wife material. "

Thus the reason no woman has ever married you, but they have "broken" your heart!

We have been through this before, you hear about more crime b/c the media is better due to advances in technology which makes info available at your fingertips- something you did not have in the dark ages. Added to this reporting of crime and crime solving has drastically changed since your youth in the dark ages.

That's crap. I suppose there's an increase in baseball games because they're televised now? Don't be ridiculous. We simply didn't have those problems in "my day". They're a new development in your "modern" society.

I spent ten years in the Navy without ever having a drug case. That, too, is a "modern" development. Development; not an improvement.

I guess you are not reading my posts. I did mention what POV means a few posts ago.

Look, things have not changed that much since "your day". You are not that old.

Maybe things are a bit different in Germany than they are in the US. European women are notorious for using their womanly wiles without remorse and certainly without regard for political correctness. European women are more like.........I am a woman, I should know how to get what I want.........European women think - what's the point of having sexuality if you are not going to use it? I am a woman, he is a man......

I can't imagine an American feminist ever using her sexuality to coerce anything from a man. Most American feminists are philosophically opposed to that sort of thing. Americans are much too serious.

Nellie,
There is no use reminding Bill of these things. He just does not retain the knowledge of what they are. I got tired of repeating and figured he could just use the urban dictionary to find them like anyone else. He won't remember when you tell him this time... It is just like how he "forgets" what emoticons mean.

Nellie:

Youo ahve a point there. A "feminist" wouldn't.

I had that sort of thing with one of my girlfriends. We were out together, and she started flirting with every male in the room. Then she comes sweeping by me and asks, "Are you jealous?". I said, "No, I'm angry. I thought you were an honest woman, and here you go pull that old trick on me".

It took me a while to get the idea that women play these games instinctively, and don't even realize that they ARE games.

LOL! So true!

And they are too into what is PC and what isn't, much to Koliga's dismay...

Bill

How old were you when this happened? Your reaction was that of a 16-year old.

Most men know that when a woman is going through all the trouble to make him jealous, she really likes him. I wouldn't bother to try and make a man jealous unless I really wanted him and was testing to see just how much he likes me. The angrier and the more jealous he got, the better he likes me. And don't think men don't play these games too. I have a news flash for you - men play games too.

Nellie/DA:

Please remembe that in Nellie's case I'm from a different culture, and in DA's case from a different era. The rules are different.

I don't ask you to play by my rules, so please stop demanding that I play by yours.

I don't like gamesmanship, and I don't play games. The very fact that I took this lady out should have showed her that I cared about her, and it shouldn't have required any further "testing". That's all superficial crap, and I don't play by those rules. Women seem to feel that they have to approach the goal obliquely instead of directly. The old strategy: Suggest quietly but insistently until he thinks it's his idea.

Tears are often an effective weapon.

Women have tried all these tricks on me, and they get upset when they find them useless. I don't like being manipulated, and I don't play that game.
