Bo,

To be honest, I am surprised that India or any other country would willingly form an alliance with Russia, but that is their business.

On the other hand, I hope USA business will bring much of the software development that we have given to India, back home, or move it to Bulgaria, for instance.

India has had a good ride with the USA, they have prospered as a result, and evidently they are ungrateful for it. The US should take these new developments with Russia into consideration in all future dealings.

Avro,
are you that misinformed?Russia and India have been allies a long time, even when the Taliban and mujaheddin were allies with the yanks,India and Russia were close allies.

But, in my opinion, this is an escalation of that relationship, an in your face kinda thing to the USA. But, I am not saying the US government should not maintain good relationships with India, it should.

I do think that US business should rethink its relationwhip with Indian software companies, but I have thought this since 9/11. Software now is almost like oil, you cannot run a country without it, and we should keep as much control of it within our country, or with very strong allies, as possible.

I am not against Muslims as a whole, but India has 150M of them, and who knows how many of their programmers may be sympathetic to terrorists, or may insert some disasterous code into software as a result of having their families threatened. By the time we found the culprit source code and fixed it, depending on the applications, the US could be brought to its knees.

I guess I am just an untrusting SOB. You know, BO, just like you feel about the USA.

avro,
America made a major mistake with Georgia and has historically backed Pakistan.Regarding the software business,America basically invented the Internet etc and had the upper hand, but now are not as important.

Buba,

The internet is old hat. The US is going to invent something else soon that the whole world will copy, such as genetic engineering, artificial intelligence, robots, hydrogen fueled cars, space tourism, moonrock engagement rings i.l.o diamonds............who knows? Who knew 20 years ago that the US will invent Microsoft and the internet and the whole world will jump on the bandwagon? That's what the US is best at - always being on the cutting edge and inventing new things.

Figment,

Fact;

John Atanasoff, of a Bulgarian origin in the 40's build the first modern Computer.
Born 1903, in NYC, look it up.

Americans do not, have not, and never will have such brains in their sculls.
So sorry for you, but Americans are not the genius you want them to be.

Euro,

What is an "American"? If a Bulgarian moves to the US, he is an American! When Albert Einstein became a citizen in 1940, he became an American! By remaining a a free country without all the caste system BS that you have in Europe, with open arms we draw intelligent people to this country, Americans.

And, we have had plenty of home grown brillance: Bell, Edision, Gates and etc.

Eurotrash,

Atanasoff was American, born and bred and educated in the US. His farther was Bulgarian-born, that's all. I suppose you will tel me next that Bill Gates is not an American but a Brit (a few hundred years ago). Atanasoff's mother was the one with the high IQ, and I am not too sure she was Bulgarian. It is a well-known fact that IQ is inherited from the mother, not from the father.

avro,
John Atanafoff was born in America to Bulgarian Father and American Mother (Iva Purdy). He probably didn't even speak Bulgarian. Where did his "brains" come from is immaterial, imo.

Figment & Avro aka ( Pinky & The Brain)

The fact is, that Bulgarians contain genius in all levels of their existance.
But you making me confused now, I'm born Bulgarian but bread and educated South African.
You say, one must be "born, bread, educated" to be truly a national of a land they happened to end up in?

Sometimg tells me Atanasoff did not identify as a true American, call it gut feel.
Your fathers origin has a lot to do with your identity.
I am as South African as they come, yet I do feel a connection and a sense of belonging elsewhere.
Like Atanasoff did?

Maybe born in the US, but he had a Bulgarian brain!
So don't underestimate my nation, BG one, LOL

Nite nite now ya all.

Eurotrash,

Atanasoff did not have a Bulgarian IQ, because his mother was not Bulgarian. Read THE BELL CURVE, all you ever wanted to know about IQ. All scientific evidence points to the fact that IQ is inherited through the mother, not through the father. It is a highly controversial book, because scientific evidence indicates that blacks have lower IQ than whites, and white liberals can't accept the fact that intelligence is genetic and not learned.
