I bought 1 recently to learn that Apple does not support selling of Iphone in Bulgaria....What Bulshit is this? And now I cant update it beacuse Apple representatives say their mother company in USA does not allow them to sell it......So Apple gurus thought hard not to let iphone in Bulgaria, but the money i gave is the same as an Italian would give i guess.....

Karnak,
BG is full of hackers. Just find one to crack it for you- and you will be set.... I am sure there are plenty of hackers who are willing to help you out for a small fee... :-)

Presumably Apple does not have a deal with a BG mobile network. Officially, you are not allowed to have an "unlocked" iPhone. A hacker can probably unlock it for you so you can use it on MTel or suchlike. But forget about system or firmware updates unless you grab them for BitTorrent sites...

Globul is selling official the Iphone in BG for 1399BGN. But I am not sure, if they are a official partner of Apple...

According to Apple's website, Bulgaria is not among the countries where Apple has made an agreement with a provider (like e.g. in Holland an iPhone has to be bought in combination with a T-Mobile contract in order to be able to receive updates/upgrades).

A colleague of me has a hacked iPhone 3G plus all accessories and my personal opinion is that this phone is way overrated, especially having in mind the current price attached to it. Also, the competition (Sony Ericsson, Nokia, LG, Samsung, HTC) in the mobile phone market is not sitting still and offers now phones with the same possibilities as an iPhone, only they are more affordable and can be used on all networks.

As a whole, any phone with a price higher than 400 leva is too expensive for my liking anyway. It is the hype that creates the current high prices, while in a few years the current, so called "state of the art technology" will become very common and way more affordable. Look what's happening now with laptops, LCD tv's etc. etc.

I am satisfied with the phone capabilities....Very easy to use.....WHat bothers me is that when i want to download new applications, the e-mail of italian guy appears and asks me for password....what the hell??? The phone is unlocked since I am using it without any problem besides not being able to download anything...

So then some Italian hacker unlocked it. Did you buy second hand?

Maybe you could just email the Italian guy at that address to get his password, to purchase that account for a small additional fee.
