Bulgaria Sees 6th Day of Unrelenting Protests, Police in Sofia Beefed Up

I'm really surprised that you didn't show the picture of a 'protestor' handing over water to the police who had been standing quietly for hours in the 30deg heat.

That image would have shown the world just how peaceful Bulgarians are when they demonstrate.

It would also help to prevent Plamen Oresharski from escalating the problem in the same way that Erdogan has done in Turkey.

It's like I said, Siderov works for the communists and turks. This new position has only one purpose, to ridicule nationalists with that clown as a tool.

According to my sources, Siderov is considered a traitor by the Bulgarian people. Furthermore, his mental state is said to be questionable.

Please correct me, if I'm wrong.

""I see no reason why not to give that post to him,” Stanishev said,"

I don't believe it! Seems all political leaders in Bulgaria are either criminal, mentally insane, or complete morons. In the case of Ser-gay Stanishew probably a combination of all three. And Bolen Siderov on a pic beside Levski's portrait - I think I have to throw up!

This guy's stupidity keeps amazing me. It's approaching the level of Siderov! GERB does not need to do anything to benefit from the situation, and the longer Stanishev waits until resigning, the bigger their benefit will be.

The second scenario is virtually impossible: even if the present government would suddenly start to seriously crack down on oligarchic structures and monopolies, no one would believe them after they have just tried to put an oligarch in charge of this!

What alarms me is that obviously the DANS chief went along with this. I cannot imagine that the bosses of services like MI5 and the Bundesnachrichtendienst would have condoned access to confidential material for someone who first doesn't have a clearing and second doesn't have a need to know - and "need to know", the necessity to have certain information in order to do a job - but no more - is a criterium that is applied strictly in every professional security and intellingence service, at least within NATO. They would have resigned. That poses the question who is pulling the strings in this country.

NATO, Interpol and Europol had better for the time being suspend all Bulgarian personnel and stop sharing any intelligence with Bulgaria - before you know, dangerous information may be lying on desks in Moscow and with criminal organisations.

And of course, the DANS boss should be arrested rightaway - he is legally responsible. And he can tell in a public, repeat public hearing in court who brought him to this breach of security.
