Enforcement and keeping people in prison costs a lot of money. The Bulgarian criminals are so arrogant and bold because they know that the resources are not there to apprehend them, try them or keep them incarcerated.
The medics are innocent. The children were infected long before the medics even set foot in Libya. The hospital was dirty and needles were not sterilized, etc. Libya should be forced to pay reparations to these medics for wasting so many years of their lives in jail, just like reparations were paid to the Jews by Germany for the Holocaust. If Libya can't be forced by the international community to do it, then some international organization should do. Bulgaria is blameless and Bulgaria is not obligated to pay any reparations to these medics. Quite the opposite. They owe Bulgaria for spending time and resources to get them released. Bulgaria has done a lot for them already. They are being ungrateful if they now expect money from Bulgaria.
Defending corruption in Bulgaria by stating that there is corruption everywhere is silly. It is like telling the policeman who stopped you for speeding that he shouldn't give you a ticket because everyone else is speeding too. It doesn't cut it. Don't worry about what other people are doing, worry about your own corruption and let them worry about theirs.
I don't think Obama will get elected, but if he does, he will not be able to do much about the economy or terrorism or the real estate problems in the US. People will dislike him for his incompetence and he will not get re-elected. No matter who wins this election, he will be a one-term president.
What can a 20-year old with no boobs do that would be so exciting? I am not feeling it............
This is a sad, sad story. I feel so sorry for this boy and for his family. To loose a child so young must be horrible.
