Apologies my PC went ape.
people into soap. I believe it was your former prime minister that said Bulgarians need to stop saying it. Never would a western or civilised country have a prime minister that would have the need to say that.
It is not about me saying this that or the other. I have done my best to stay on topic unlike most posters here.
The US airmen deserved the monument and it is on their behalf I have in a very humble way tried to defend their right to have it.
Every nation gets the government they deserve and Bulgaria is a prime example of this for about the last 600 years
I wish you all real peace and happiness

Another reason people leave is there is no enforcement of the salary workers get. Not so long ago it was stated it is not a crime if employers do not pay workers..What a crock of commie shit

OK I have messed a lot on some things but to me this is serious. I live here.I have made my home here.
In my opinion Bulgaria needs to grow up and get with the programme or it will loose all funding from the EU and face more and more fines for non compliance with EU law.

Please watch the following video (yes that means all you novinite staff that post here as well)

Enjoy the solution to most of Bulgaria's problems

@seedy
is also very illogical: the changes you espouse would perhaps result in fewer people leaving but would also lead to a rise in both the standard and cost of living.
Not necessarily.The cost of living in the UK is on balance about the same, in fact I have a big screen 3D TV and the same one would cost about 300 leva less in the UK.White goods are about the same price. Food is about the same from places like Metro /Kaufland but cheaper in the UK in the smaller shops. This has obviously a lot to do with competition Many things are simply not available here or it is so expensive (petrol) to travel to get it we buy it cheaper on e-bay and it's delivered to our door.
Roads and hospitals here are awful but with the amount of aid Bulgaria receives from the E.U it would not cause inflation. Big problem is stopping Bulgaria stealing the funds. Current E.U statistics say for every 4 euro Bulgaria gets 1 euro is stolen...
In short much could and should be done to improve life here and that in turn would help at least slow the flow of Bulgarians leaving for pastures new.
