Taro,

I personally do - in less than 3 months that Im working here I brought to my institute several thousands of euros using my connections from other EU countries organizing things and creating new contacts because the lack of money and the isolation are stunning in what is left from our scientific research. but we need more, much more.
Still didnt find talented people to send them to do a PhD abroad because there is no interest and anyway I wont send proteges or idiots. So I do what i can at the moment and without much help outside my job.

Taro,

Thats the talk we talk for years but it still remains only talk, no major improvements so far even though more people see where the problems are. apparently we can only see the problems but cannot propose and execute solutions that work.

JKS,

Last time I checked it was about balanced - BG paid about as much fee for its EU membership as it received from EU. But if the EU withdraws some more funds, then we may become a net donor to the EU which doesnt make much sense for us, being the poorest one.

It was an obvious mistake for everyone who knows the region but now it is being corrected because the eurocrats start to know how our countries function, or rather, dont function.

It could be worse if BG and Romania entered together with Croatia, Serbia, Macedonia and Turkey. Not that this is a big consolation for us or for the EU.

"I'm sure those Nascar commemorative plates could tide you over another year or so.

To sharpen my talons I need something harder than jello. As soon as the forum provides, Nellie, as soon as the forum provides."

Now this is what WW calls "a joke" and "a sense of humor". Hey, WW - to be really original, funny and creative you need more than reading books and internet forums - you need a talent. But if it didnt show up at your age I guess it is too late.

So continue to practice Billology, one of the few things you are good at (although it makes no sense).

WW? Ab hominem?

Of course youre not Nellie - she produces something like a joke once every season while you do once in a year, eventually. And thats why I dont read Billology - its boring.

as for our "past encounters", you have yet to "win" one (one can check that I guess). You just cant accept that there are people in the Galaxy who dont really care about you and about your "past encounters" with them, dont you?

At your age, it is maybe time to make some efforts to know the people better.

Nel,

So you think you and WW are funny when practicing Billology? Hm, one learns new things every day.

Total scum these groups 'of software experts showing Sofia to foreign colleagues during the night' - I still prefer the drunks from the local pubs.

This article is BS anyway How can you put a title "ВЕЛР?РљР?РўР• БЪЛГАРР?." missing out our great Billologists, the founder WickedWitch and Prof. NellieotAmerica (now thats a real BG name so nobody can say she is not Bulgarian)

In our top 100 greatest Bulgarians are missing many - God, the three fools and Orpheus to name a few.
