Should Bulgaria pay other NATO members for air-policing missions in its own airspace?

Bulgarian Defense Minister Nikolay Nenchev does not rule out the option of paying a few millions of BGN to allow foreign fighter jets to perform flights and protect the airspace over the country. This follows Nenchev's decision not to renew maintenance contracts for the MiG-29s, which constitute a vast part of Bulgaria's aircraft fleet. Subsequently, those fighter jets will have to be retired within just months.

The Baltic states have already adopted the idea. But should Bulgaria follow? What do you think?
